Community radio brings people together when they can’t gather in person, provides information in multiple languages, and enables neighbors to share stories in their own voices.

Over the past three years, we have developed KVRU’s broadcasting infrastructure, established a robust training program, fostered partnerships with cultural organizations, and aired community-created programming. When the pandemic broke, we produced and broadcast public service announcements in multiple languages, and shared information about COVID-19 testing, free food distribution, and resources for essential workers.

We want to provide opportunities for more community members to share their stories. Proceeds from our 3rd Anniversary Fund Drive will help launch our Community Reporters Circle – to recruit, train, and equip new reporters and producers from Southeast Seattle to create radio programs by, for, and about our communities.

Will you join us in creating new opportunities and making KVRU more inclusive of underserved voices?
You can donate now or mail a check to KVRU 105.7FM, c/o SEEDArts 5117 Rainier Ave S, Seattle, WA 98118.

Thank you!
