The KVRU News Reporting Circle is a team of community reporters providing hyperlocal news coverage for our 98118 zip-code neighbors. We report on Arts & Culture, Education, Government & Policy, Health, Wellness & Safety, and Youth & Young Adults stories.
The news episodes originally air Wednesdays 6pm PST on KVRU 105.7 LP-FM radio and here on KVRU.org. Following the 6pm PST broadcast, the episodes are then made available here and through our SoundCloud.

Arts & Culture
Inez Lindsey (she/her) seeks to learn more about the intricacies and joys of the SouthEnd community. Her background includes a bachelor’s degree in Communications as well as writing and editing roles in college, local newspapers, and as a volunteer.
Education
Patrisha Visaya (she/they) recognizes that education as an institution, does not equitably support students’ potential. As a community reporter, they aspire to strengthen the voices of all students and educators in the diverse community of the SouthEnd.
Government & Policy
Guy Oron (he/they) is a Seattle-based writer and journalist. His writing has been featured in the Nation, South Seattle Emerald, Seattle Globalist, and the UW Daily.
Health
Sharon Tsoi (she/they) is originally from the Twin Cities and is now based in Seattle to work alongside community members in building a network centered around the care and wellbeing of one another. Her experiences include volunteer coordination, outreach, COVID-19 related organizing.
Youth Stories
Erin Howard (she/her) recalls how being in Seattle allows her to get involved with the creative arts, the Black community, and activism. As a youth reporter, she wants to have the opportunity to represent people who look like her: Black women.

Lynn Doan (they/them) is a social work professional and community activist, constantly seeking ways to promote healing opportunities within Seattle. Lynn is passionate about transcending boundaries by centering BIPOC experiences, storytelling, and arts.
