KVRU is collaborating with BIPOC leaders, medical educators, and caretakers from the south end of Seattle to facilitate critical conversations around the health implications of the COVID-19 vaccine. Each part of the series will focus on a specific community and will feature leaders from that community – Black & African communities (July 8), Indigenous and Native American communities (July 15), and immigrant and refugee communities (July 22).
As a community-based radio station in one of the most diverse neighborhoods of Seattle, we want to spread and share essential information about the COVID-19 vaccine that is informed by and for the community and is both accessible and understandable.
Forums will be livestreamed on Zoom and Instagram. ASL interpretation and live captions will be available. Recordings will be available on YouTube and Facebook after the events. Get details here.
