Southeast Seattle is one of the most diverse communities in Washington. Over the decades, it has been the first home for many immigrants, refugees, and low-income families. KVRU seeks to be a training ground for community members to learn the art and craft of radio production as a powerful means of telling their stories. KVRU is committed to providing more opportunities for everyone to be involved in amplifying the diverse voices of the community.
Volunteer
KVRU needs volunteers to help with community reporting, audio engineering, broadcasting, language translation, social media, fundraising, and more.
We offer a monthly orientation and workshop series for all prospective volunteers.
