KVRU is thrilled to have Nathan Silpakit (they/he) as an intern working on community engagement for the next year.
As a queer and non-binary 2nd generation Thai American, Nathan is excited to support KVRU’s mission of uplifting diverse voices. Nathan comes to this work with a passion for building and transforming community through storytelling and the arts. His own practices include social dancing, tabletop roleplaying games, and podcasting. Nathan is currently pursuing their Master of Social Work from the University of Washington with a concentration in Community-Centered Integrative Practice. Prior to beginning grad school, they worked in community-based behavioral health providing substance use counseling to adolescents.
