Ofrendas are practices of remembrances, resistance, and transformation. The Ofrenda Podcast explores the roots and futures of ofrenda resilience and restorative practice at the heart of Dia de Muertos and other decolonial gatherings taking place in the Seattle/Tacoma area and in communities throughout the United States, Mexico ,and across Central and South America.
The podcast is put together by a team of University of Washington students enrolled in the Gender, Women & Sexuality Studies (GWSS) Department Chicanx/Latinx Cultural Production course taught by professor Michelle Habell-Pallán. The show is produced in partnership with KVRU, GWSS, and the Women Who Rock: Making Scenes, Building Communities Collective.
All from the community are welcomed to participate in creating more episodes in Spring 2021. Contact ofrendapodcast@gmail.com for more information.
